HDY's exceptional client service recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific
29 January 2016
The exceptional client service of leading Australian law firm Henry Davis York has been formally recognised as amongst the best in the country following an announcement by one of the world's leading legal directory and research companies.
Chambers Asia-Pacific has shortlisted HDY, along with just four other law firms, to contest its Australian Client Service award in the Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards 2016. The winner will be announced at a special ceremony in Singapore on 8 April.
The other firms nominated are Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Gilbert + Tobin, Herbert Smith Freehills and Minter Ellison.
According to Chambers, its awards are not judged on a small number of submitted entries but on the investigations of the company's large specialist legal research team. To be shortlisted is recognition of a firm's progress and development throughout the whole "research year" based on a range of metrics including, most importantly of all, "client feedback".
Managing Partner of HDY Michael Greene said the nomination is a tribute to the commitment of everyone at the firm to deliver the highest level of service to its clients – not just in terms of providing legal technical expertise, but in being responsive, collaborative and easy to work with.
"In such a competitive market, our firm has always prided itself on being different to other firms in the way we connect to, and interact with, our clients – from the most junior to most senior member of their staff. While mutual respect and a collaborative approach to meeting the business challenges of our clients is a key aspect of how HDY operates, this would not be enough to provide the assistance our clients need unless it is underpinned by our in-depth legal expertise and experience.
"I would like to congratulate everyone at HDY on the nomination because regardless of their role at our firm, all contribute in some way to ensuring we make good on our promise of delivering the highest quality client service.
"Knowing that our firm's nomination was, in the main, based on feedback from our clients is very pleasing and speaks to the deep and sustained relationships we have with them. These same clients will also know that we will not be resting on our laurels."
This is the second time this month HDY has been recognised as one of the country's most highly regarded law firms, following its recognition as Australia's most recommended law firm according to a survey of legal service buyers and users conducted by Beaton Research + Consulting.
