HDY receives WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation for fifth consecutive year
Leading Australian law firm HDY has been awarded the Workplace Gender Equality Agency's (WGEA) 2015 Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation, for the fifth consecutive year.
HDY is one of 90 organisations (including just 15 law firms) across Australia to this year receive the prestigious citation, which recognises employer commitment and best practice in promoting gender equality in Australian workplaces.
HDY Managing Partner Michael Greene said: "Achieving this award is no mean feat; organisations are rigorously assessed against a set of robust criteria and expectations, which are strengthened each year to reflect best practice. I am proud of our achievements in continuing to be recognised as a firm that is leading the way and striving for excellence with regard to gender equality.
"The citation is important and is highly valued by our firm, clients and potential recruits as it reflects our vision to be a 'market leading, dynamic and diverse law firm'. It is strong validation of the continued work we do in relation to Diversity & Inclusion at the firm."
Libby Lyons, Director, Workplace Gender Equality Agency said: "Employers increasingly understand and value the benefits of having a diverse workforce for organisational culture and business performance. I congratulate all of the 2015 citation holders for their initiative and commitment. These employers are at the frontline of driving positive change as they set the gold standard for inclusive workplaces".
