HDY named leader in workplace gender equality
12 November 2014
Henry Davis York (HDY) has been named a leader in workplace gender equality, receiving the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) citation, issued today.
"We are very proud to have received the citation. Being inclusive is the way we do things at HDY and we are continually investing in new strategies and policies to promote a positive and inclusive workplace," said Michael Greene, Managing Partner, HDY.
"I'd like to thank our outgoing Managing Partner Sharon Cook, for being an advocate, champion and role model for gender equality - she has been a driving force behind the firm's strategies and policies to promote a positive and inclusive workplace."
The new citation issued by The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) substantially raised the expected level of performance while being sensitive to commercial realities.
"Holders of the 2014 WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation should be celebrated and championed as leading practice role models and innovative thinkers on the issues of workplace gender equality," said Helen Conway, Director, WGEA.
76 organisations have been awarded the 2014 EOCGE citation down from 125 recipients when the predecessor citation, the EOWA Employer of Choice for Women was last awarded in 2012.
