Jennifer in 60 seconds

Jennifer has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property, with a particular focus on development, property management and leasing. She brings a pragmatic and straightforward approach to handling her client's issues.

Jennifer acts for both government and private clients across a range of industry sectors and has particular experience in complex sales and acquisitions, due diligence, joint ventures, asset and facilities management agreements, property development, leasing and the property aspects of infrastructure projects.

Jennifer's clients appreciate her passion for drafting project documents in clear, plain language to simplify contract negotiations at the outset and minimise disputes arising from ambiguities or uncertainties during the contract term.

One of Jennifer's career highlights has been devising and implementing the strategy for dealing with RailCorp's property assets as part of the rail reform project which created the new rail entities of Sydney Trains and NSW Trains. She provided an achievable and relatively simple solution to what was a complex problem and which could be implemented within the constrained timetable.

Transport for NSW and RailCorp

Advised on the structuring of the reform of NSW's railway operations to ensure that the newly created entities had the necessary rights over RailCorp property interests.

Sydney Airport

Acted for Sydney Airport in relation to its proposed alliance-based reorganisation of the domestic and international terminals at Sydney Airport.

Rockdale City Council

Assisted the Council to maximise its land value capture on land owned by it by structuring an agreement with a developer by which, in return for the Council granting rights over its land, the developer agreed to build a community youth facility for the Council which did not expose Council to upfront capital costs.

Roads and Maritime Services

Advising RMS in relation to its RFP to outsource property management for its extensive and diverse portfolio of leased properties.

City of Sydney

Advise the City in relation to the RFP documentation for the proposed sale of the land earmarked for development for affordable housing. This includes providing strategic advice to the City on a range of methods to be adopted to ensure that the land, once sold, remains dedicated to affordable housing.
