Michael in 60 seconds

Michael is a member of the Board and specialises in all aspects of construction law. His clients include government and public sector entities, financial institutions and major contractors.

Michael is highly experienced in advising on the drafting and negotiation of all documentation required to successfully undertake complicated top-end projects.  This experience also includes providing extensive commercial contract administration assistance throughout the life of his client's projects.

Michael is also an experienced litigator and his clients trust him to achieve strategic and commercial results for them through the contract dispute processes, including the use of alternative dispute resolution methods.

One of Michael's recent career highlights was his involvement in the Melbourne Observation Wheel. This very public and highly scrutinised Melbourne attraction failed in its early operation. Michael, as part of a legal team that acted for the owner of the wheel, was instrumental in achieving a resolution of all issues arising in a multi party dispute and the eventual sale of the asset through a series of complicated transactions.
