- the receivers and managers of ABC Learning Centres on the sale of over 1,000 learning and childcare centres (this transaction was awarded Insolvency and Restructuring Deal of the Year at the 2010 ALB Australasian Law Awards)
- Baiada Poultry on its ACCC regulated acquisition of the Bartter/Steggles Group
- MMC Contrarian on its $195 million acquisition of the Australian life insurer MBF Life and its related Australian wealth management business, Clearview Financial Management from Bupa Australia
- ESPN International on its acquisition of Australia's largest sports tipping and fantasy games platform, FootyTips
- MasterCard on its core contracts entered with financial institutions in Australia and internationally, and competition law matters, and
- Australian arms of various Fortune 500 companies on their commercial transactions and competition law matters.
Stephen advises Lachlan Murdoch's private investment company, Illyria, on a range of private equity-style investments in Australian and international media assets. He has also advised financial institutions based in Asia and South Africa on acquisitions of Australian businesses.
