Simon is a "Recommended" lawyer in Banking & Finance in Doyles Guide to The Australian Legal Profession.

Simon specialises in the structuring and implementation of a broad range of corporate finance transactions including asset-based financing, receivables acquisition, inventory financing and leasing transactions, structured property financing and project financing.

He has been involved in several projects dealing with the grant of concessions or the commercialisation of public sector assets, including: acting for RTA in the ongoing management of the M2 and Eastern Distributor toll roads and the Sydney Harbour Tunnel; advising Sydney Ports Corporation in connection with its Request for Proposals relating to the procurement of a new terminal operator for the third stevedore terminal being developed at Port Botany; and acting for Sydney Ports Corporation in connection with its Request for Proposals relating to its proposed development of an Intermodal Logistics Centre at its site at Enfield, comprising approximately 59 hectares and providing for an intermodal terminal with rail and road access, two empty container storage areas and a number of warehouse areas.

He has also advised banks and other financial institutions in relation to the restructuring, stand-still arrangements and other work outs of a number of bilateral and syndicated financing transactions.
