Simon specialises in construction, infrastructure, projects and public sector work. He has experience in acting for property funds, government agencies, financial institutions, principals, contractors and consultants.
Simon has extensive experience in the review, negotiation and documentation of a variety of contracts including PPP documentation, large scale procurement agreements, joint venture contracts, construct only contracts (including refurbishment contracts), design and construct contracts, managing contractor contracts and various forms of consultancy agreements. He was recently seconded to RailCorp where his duties included managing construction within, and in the vicinity of, the railway corridor.
Simon's recent experience includes:
- preparing all documentation for a property developer for complex "brownfields" development including concurrent lease, and step-in, arrangements
- advising an international rail operator in a bid to operate and maintain the Gold Coast light rail, and
- preparing the tender documentation and agreements for a large procurement project for the maintenance of rolling stock for a NSW Government agency.
