Sarah has extensive experience advising both private and public sector organisations, including RailCorp and the NSW Police Force and a range of retail and financial services industry clients, on all facets of workplace relations law as well as dealing with requests for government information (GIPA) and privacy matters.
Sarah has recently returned from a secondment working in-house at RailCorp as an Acting Senior Solicitor in their Legal Services Division. In this role, she was a primary point of contact for senior managers and human resources personnel on employment law matters within RailCorp. This experience has provided her with a unique insight into the complexities of in-house legal practice within the public sector.
In addition to her substantial public sector work, Sarah also advises a range of private sector clients in the retail and banking industries on employment law issues. Sarah's work regularly includes:
- drafting enterprise agreements, employment contracts and workplace policies;
- advising on internal investigations of workplace conduct and performance matters;
- advising on terminations and dismissal claims and disputes;
- dealing with discrimination complaints and appearing before state and federal discrimination commissions and tribunals;
- advising on restraint of trade issues; and
- advising on employee entitlements and workforce risk in the purchase and sale of business.
