Roger is a leading adviser to banks and other creditors with exposure to companies experiencing financial stress. His work includes assisting in the restructure of loans to distressed companies and advising banking syndicates and other lenders of their rights in respect of problem loans.

His current and recent work includes acting for the 25 Bank Syndicate lender group in relation to the restructure of AUD$3.2 billion loans to Babcock & Brown, as well as acting for the banking syndicate on the restructure and collapse of ABC Learning Group Limited, for the mezzanine lender group on the restructure of I-MED and for the bank syndicate regarding AET&D (formerly Babcock & Brown Infrastructure). Other recent matters include advising individual lenders and banking syndicates regarding the restructure or collapse of Allco Finance Group, Commander Communications, Centro Property Group, Goodman Group, Loy Yang, Reliance Rail and Yellow Pages New Zealand.

Roger is also involved in making submissions to the Federal Government on behalf of the Australian Bankers Association and several of the major Australian banks with respect to insolvency law reform. These submissions also cover the areas of directors' liability for insolvent trading and the ranking of shareholder claims in insolvency following the High Court decision in the Sons of Gwalia case.
