Rodney advises secured lenders, creditors and insolvency practitioners in the areas of debt recovery, security enforcement, fraud recoveries, voluntary administrations, deeds of company arrangement, receiverships, liquidations and bankruptcies.
Rodney has acted in matters involving ASIC prosecutions, including the trial of former insurance company executives in respect of alleged breaches of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). He has been involved in the preparation and conduct of other major multi-party litigation.
He also acts on behalf of a number of insolvency administrators and trustees. His practice covers litigation to recover money and property on behalf of liquidators and trustees for the benefit of creditors, as well as litigating the many issues that arise in the course of insolvent administrations. He has acted in the long-running insolvency of reinsurer, New Cap Reinsurance Corporation Limited (In liquidation) (subject to a Scheme of Arrangement), and has been involved in a number of cross-border insolvency issues that have arisen in that liquidation.
Rodney has also worked on some large insolvencies in the rural, mining, aged care, property development, industrial and technology sectors.
