Rachel Lunn

Senior Associate

Rachel specialises in unregulated M&A, advising private companies in a range of industries and regularly acting for clients in the private equity and financial services sectors. She has considerable experience in a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions, including private business and share acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, joint ventures and corporate restructures.

Rachel has recently been involved in a number of large scale acquisitions including acting for Baiada Poultry on its ACCC regulated acquisition of the Bartter/Steggles Group and acting for Security and Intelligence Services (India) Limited on its entry into the Australian market via the acquisition of Australian security guard businesses from Chubb Security Australia.

Her specialist experience includes major acquisitions and disposals of assets in the tourism, hospitality and accommodation industries, including advising a US based private equity fund on the largest ever single-asset hotel transaction in Australia. She has also provided commercial advisory services to a range of clients operating in those fields.

Rachel regularly advises on Corporations Act matters, and has extensive experience advising on, negotiating and preparing key commercial contracts. She has presented on various commercial contracting issues, as well as matters specific to the hotel industry, including hotel management agreements, operational and compliance matters.
