Patrick has significant expertise and experience in corporate finance, structured property and development finance, asset finance, project finance and large and complex finance restructurings and workout arrangements.
He is a senior banking and finance lawyer with over 20 years' experience and a trusted adviser to a number of Australia's leading banks and other financial institutions. Patrick is also experienced in acting for project sponsors and large corporate borrowers and developers.
Prior to joining Henry Davis York, Patrick was the national practice group leader of the banking and finance team of another leading Australian law firm.
Patrick has advised on many high profile projects including:
- The Victorian Desalination Project where he acted for the Victorian State Government in implementing the $3.7 billion financing arrangements for this project, one of the largest of its kind ever undertaken.
- The $700 million Bonnyrigg Social Housing PPP where he acted for Westpac (as lead bank and debt participant) on the funding arrangements for the project.
- The $2 billion Wembley Stadium Project where he acted for the Chubb Group in relation to the provision of bonding and finance completion facilities for Multiplex in connection with the project.
Patrick is listed as an expert in Asset Finance in the Best Lawyers Guide, 2011 and 2012.
Patrick has also been selected as one of the International Who's Who of Banking Lawyers 2012 (one of only 17 Australian lawyers to be selected).
