Michael acts for both public and private sector clients in relation to commercial disputes
with experience in litigation and alternative forms of dispute resolution. In particular, Michael regularly provides litigation and advisory support to the firm's government clients.
Michael's recent experience includes acting for a financial institution in relation to the landmark proceedings arising out of the collapse of Basis Capital Funds Management, acting for the director and joint owner of a major car dealership and repair business in a partnership dispute, acting for a former airline executive in relation to alleged cartel conduct, and acting for a bank in the Supreme Court of NSW, the Federal Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court in relation to enforcement of a guarantee concerning the iconic Jenolan Caves Resort.
Michael has also recently represented the firm's banking clients in frauds perpetrated against the client and its customers.
