Melanie specialises in acquisition and property financing, project financing including construction and real estate investment funding and general corporate lending. She has also advised on structuring and documentation for mezzanine and preferred equity lending including debt restructures and workouts.
Acting on behalf of a mezzanine club structure in respect of documenting a construction facility for large discount retail corporation involving complicated security structures over a range of assets subject to a number of existing senior facilities including the provision of strategic advice on subsequent default events under those arrangements and enforcement options.
Before joining Henry Davis York, Melanie was a lead property finance senior associate at a prominent Australian mid-tier law firm practising primarily in property and project structured finance. She also led her firm's personal property securities reform team.
