Matthew practices in the Financial Services Group and advises some of Australia's largest financial institutions and Real Estate Investment Trusts as well as fund managers, receivers and managers and private and publicly owned corporations in Australia and offshore.
A specialist in funds management, financial services and corporate law, Matthew is also an experienced adviser on restructures, mergers and acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures. He has experience in the preparation and negotiation of a wide range of commercial documentation for corporations, Real Estate Investment Trusts and other regulated investment vehicles (including managed investment schemes).
Matthew also advises clients on the structuring, establishment and offer of regulated investment products. This includes product disclosure, due diligence processes and promoting and marketing financial products in Australia. He also assists clients in applying the aspects of the Corporations Act and the ASX Listing Rules including in relation to corporate governance matters and directors' duties that are relevant to their businesses.
