Mark is a lawyer and quantity surveyor and has worked on projects of various sizes, including large infrastructure projects, commercial development and public-private partnership (PPP) projects.He has experience advising government organizations, property funds, hospitality groups, financiers, contractors, consultants, infrastructure providers and universities.
He advises on the negotiation and documentation of numerous contracts including concession contracts, joint venture contracts, construct only contracts (including refurbishment contracts), design and construct contracts, design, construct and finance contracts, operation and maintenance contracts, alliance contracts and managing contractor contracts, as well as various forms of consultancy agreements.
Mark has advised on the drafting and negotiation of various construction, procurement and consultancy contracts for clients that include Goodman International, DEXUS, Accor Asia Pacific, Sydney Airport Corporation, RailCorp and the University of Western Sydney.
Mark's recent experience includes:
- a secondment to a major Australian bank during which time he assisted with various construction-related matters and drafted nationwide construction and refurbishment precedents;
- acting for a major transport provider in the drafting, negotiation and finalisation of various tender documents and contracts;
- acted for a major retailer in relation to the drafting, negotiation and completion of a Guaranteed Maximum Price Managing Contractor Contract for the alterations to and refurbishment of a flagship store in Melbourne; and
- a secondment to the Transport Construction Authority as Acting Legal Counsel.
