Leonard has over 12 years' experience in insolvency, restructuring, banking and commercial disputes and fraud prevention and recovery. He was promoted to partner on 1 July 2010.
Leonard has worked on some of Australia's largest insolvencies and restructures, including acting for the receivers and managers of ABC Learning Centres, Commander Communications and Auto Group Limited, the liquidator of King Bros Bus Group and bank creditors in the Allco Finance Group restructure. Leonard has experience in cross border insolvency practice and extensive knowledge of the Model Law and its application.
In addition to his insolvency and restructuring expertise, Leonard has many years' experience in acting for banks and financial institutions in banking litigation, secured recoveries, fraud prevention and recovery, commercial litigation and debt recovery.
In 2002 he was placed first in Australia for Stage II of the Advanced Insolvency Law & Practice course run by the IPAA / University of Southern Queensland and he is currently completing a Master of Laws (coursework) through the University of Sydney.
