Fiona specialises in all aspects of property law including the development, acquisition and disposal of commercial, industrial and retail properties, and leasing for landlords and tenants.
She is experienced in advising financial institutions, developers, fund managers, insolvency professionals and public sector clients across a full range of issues arising in the conduct of property transactions and the management of property assets, including due diligence and contract negotiations, strata development, easements and subdivisions.
Fiona recently acted for the receivers and managers appointed to ABC Learning Centres on the property aspects of the sale of its Australian and international childcare businesses. This included coordinating the assignment of the company's leasehold interest in more than 1,000 childcare centres in Australia. She also acts for the Woolworths group of companies on the acquisition, disposal, development and leasing of shopping centres, supermarkets, discount department stores, liquor stores, petrol stations and electronics stores.
