Senior Associate

David regularly acts for banks, financial institutions and borrowers on a wide range of finance transactions including leveraged and acquisition financings, real estate investment and construction financings and project financings as well as general corporate lending.

David's recent experience includes advising:

  • a syndicate of international banks in relation to the proposed debt facilities to be made available to one of the consortia bidding to acquire the Port of Brisbane;
  • a bank syndicate on the secured term and revolving facilities made available to the purchaser of a major commercial news and information monitoring company and its subsidiaries in Australia, New Zealand and Asia;
  • a bank syndicate in relation to the secured term and revolving facilities made available to the purchaser of a major Australian refrigeration company and its subsidiaries;
  • a syndicate of international banks on the secured term and revolving facilities made available to the purchaser of a major Australian internet service provider and its domestic and foreign subsidiaries; and
  • the Treasury Corporation of Victoria in relation to the financing arrangements it entered into as part of its funding of the Victorian Water Desalination Plant.
David has also recently been seconded to the internal legal teams of two major Australian banks.

  • International Experience

    Prior to arriving in Australia in November 2008, David spent six years in the Finance & Projects team in the London office of a major European law firm where he gained extensive experience in domestic and cross border real estate investment and construction financing and acquisition and leveraged finance transactions.


    While in London, David also spent six months on secondment to the London office of a major European bank.
