Amanda has worked on a variety of mergers and acquisitions and general commercial and business transactions. She provides advice to public and private companies on contractual issues, shareholder agreements, company constitutions, Corporations Act issues, directors' and officers' duties, foreign investment, trade promotions and other general commercial and compliance issues.
Recent matters in which Amanda has been involved include advising:
- the receivers and managers of ABC Learning on the sale of over 1,000 childcare centres in Australia;
- Sumitomo Corporation on their investment in a grain accumulation company and the establishment of a joint venture to mine and process silica in Tasmania;
- a large music retailer on numerous contractual and commercial issues;
- a private health fund on the establishment of a dental joint venture;
- Global Surf Industries on trading terms and distribution arrangements for the supply of goods locally and internationally; and
- Goodman on the requirements of the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act and liaising with the Foreign Investments Review Board.
