At the end of 2009, Henry Davis York's property specialists advised Colonial on the sale of 52 Alfred Street, Milsons Point to a high profile property investor.
Our work in the disposal of this property involved the establishment of an electronic due diligence data room, preparation, negotiation and advice on the sale documentation and novation documentation with the tenants of the building including the principal tenant, health products group, Kimberly-Clark.
The sale of 52 Alfred Street was one of the largest Sydney North Shore property transactions in 2009 and one of the largest since the onset of the global financial crisis. This landmark deal set a benchmark for the commercial property market in 2010.
The Henry Davis York team facilitated the negotiations and was mindful of the client's desire to strike balance between risk management and getting the deal done.
