Stephen Jauncey

Stephen's expertise covers all aspects of workplace relations and employment law including occupational health and safety (OH&S) and equal employment opportunity (EEO). He acts for a range of major institutions, government agencies and individuals.

Stephen has in-depth knowledge of Federal and State industrial laws, having been intimately involved in advising the Commonwealth Government on the drafting of the Workplace Relations Act.

His practice includes executive termination matters, employee share option schemes, preparing and negotiating executive contracts, negotiating, drafting and interpreting industrial agreements and AWAs (Australian Workplace Agreements), dealing with employment issues in business sales and acquisitions, resolving industrial disputes, negotiating with unions and advising on long-term workplace relations and employment strategies.

Stephen has advised and appeared for the Commonwealth Government before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. He has also advised on employment and industrial relations issues arising out of a major corporate restructure of a large Australian public company, and on issues arising out of the acquisition of various new businesses by a large public company, and out of negotiating employment contracts for CEOs in the property, finance and business services industries.
