Scott specialises in insolvency, restructuring and banking dispute resolution. He has 15 years' experience advising banks, financiers and insolvency practitioners, including seven years as in-house counsel with one of Australia's four banks.
Expertise and experience
Scott's expertise includes security enforcement, receiverships, voluntary administrations, liquidations, workouts, corporate restructuring and banker/ customer disputes. His insolvency work has covered a broad range of industry sectors including more recently property, manufacturing and financial services.
Publications and presentations
Scott writes for the Insolvency Law Journal, International Corporate Rescue and other leading industry and academic journals on banking and insolvency issues.
Professional associations
Scott is an inaugural Fellow of INSOL International. In addition to this Scott is:
- a national director of the IPA;
- a member of the NSW IPA Committee;
- a member of the NSW Regional ASIC Liaison Group;
- a member of the Fellowship Committee of INSOL International, responsible for the oversight of its Fellowship programme; and
- a course leader of the IPA's Insolvency Education Programme.
