Kathy Merrick

Kathy's areas of expertise are corporate insolvency, general commercial litigation and dispute resolution and she has considerable experience in insurance insolvency matters.

Kathy advises administrators, liquidators, corporate entities, professional services firms and individuals. She regularly acts in connection with investigations and recovery actions by liquidators.

Kathy has also acted on a wide variety of commercial disputes raising issues ranging from Corporations Act matters, breach of contract, trade practices claims, directors' duties, professional negligence claims, and joint venture disputes to employment disputes, enforcement of Anton Pillar orders, rent review and building management disputes, and professional disciplinary matters.

Kathy has acted in numerous matters before the New South Wales and South Australian Supreme Courts, the Federal Court, the Federal Magistrates Court, and the Industrial Relations Commission and has represented clients in a number of mediations, conciliations and negotiations.

She is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia. Kathy is also Henry Davis York's pro bono partner and co-ordinates the firm's pro bono program.
