Liz is a specialist in all areas of environmental law including due diligence, contaminated land, pollution, licensing and compliance issues.
With a particular focus on contaminated land and remediation, Liz advises clients on all associated strategic and legal aspects, including:
Liz is also involved in drafting and implementing environmental management systems for clients including training on all aspects of environmental compliance.
Liz has vast experience advising on a variety of significant matters including assisting a major chemical company with the strategy for and divestment of, several contaminated chemical manufacturing facilities, acting on the sale of the Tempe Tip and acting in the joint venture purchase of ADI Limited from the Commonwealth of Australia.
Liz regularly represents clients in litigious matters, acting in a landmark Federal Court litigation regarding contaminated land issues against a major oil company (Charben Haulage Pty Ltd v Environment & Earth Sciences and Caltex).
Liz's experience also includes advising Sydney Water on environmental and planning aspects associated with the desalination plant.
Liz is National Secretary of the Australian Land & Groundwater Association and a member of the Australian Environment Business Network and the Australian Women Lawyers' Association.
