David Ireland
David has over twelve years' experience practising in property law. He acts for public and private sector organisations, including fund managers, financial institutions, government bodies and developers.
David's practice includes acting and advising on the acquisition, disposal and management of industrial, retail and commercial properties and on development agreements, joint venture agreements and management agreements. David has particular expertise in commercial, industrial and retail leasing, and he has acted on leasing transactions in most Australian jurisdictions.
Some of David's recent experience includes advising and acting for the State Property Authority on the leasing and refurbishment of the Domain Car Park in Sydney, acting for a German funds manager on the acquisition of a significant commercial and retail property in the Melbourne CBD and advising the Roads and Traffic Authority on the disposal and potential re-development of a significant site at Green Square Railway Station as well as an associated road re-alignment as part of the Green Square Town Centre project.
David has also recently advised TransGrid on a complex agreement dealing with Energy Australia's connection of a major cable to TransGrid's Haymarket substation and has acted for David Jones on a number of high value shopping centre lease transactions.
