Anne MacNamara



Anne has many years of experience in financial services, specialising in  superannuation.  She has worked both in private practice and as in-house counsel and Head of Legal at Mercer, a large superannuation and investment consultancy, fund administrator and master trust provider. 

Anne has advised in relation to public sector, public offer and corporate superannuation funds.  Her clients include trustees and corporate sponsors of funds, and service providers to the financial services sector.

Recently Anne has advised public offer and corporate superannuation funds in relation to RSE licensing with APRA as well as AFS licensing with ASIC.  She has assisted trustees to develop and refine written policies and procedures with respect to their obligations under superannuation standards including the fit and proper standard, outsourcing, risk management, resource adequacy and other corporate governance matters.  Anne has also assisted employers and trustees on choice of fund and fund mergers.


Anne is a member of the Australian Superannuation Funds Association, Financial Services Council (FSC) and Taxation Institute of Australia. She is a member of the FSC Regulatory Affairs working group, and the TIA superannuation discussion group, and is a regular speaker at superannuation law conferences.
