Andrew Steele

Andrew's expertise is in both transactional and advice work relating to property. He advises Australian and overseas based clients including fund managers, financial institutions, government and developers.

Andrew's practice includes advising on the acquisition, disposal and management of industrial, retail and commercial properties (including hotel and tourism assets), negotiating development agreements, joint venture documents and management agreements and commercial and industrial leasing.

Recently, Andrew has acted for a fund manager client in connection with its proposed development of a large scale wind farm to be constructed in Tasmania, the purchaser of a number of hotel assets throughout Australia and New Zealand; a fund manager client concerning the development and leasing of purpose built national and regional distribution centres for one of Australia's largest retailers; a developer client in relation to the establishment of a significant real estate ownership and development joint venture; the receivers and managers of a landmark office and retail complex in Melbourne concerning the sale of that asset and a statutory authority in relation to a joint venture agreement with a local authority to consolidate and dispose of land.
